Annonaceae
Medium to large tree that grows to 30 m high, with drooping branches. The flowers have 6 narrow petals and are very fragrant. The fruits are 2 cm long and grow in clusters. Ilang ilang is indigenous to the Malay Peninsula, Burma, Java and the Philippines. It is commonly cultivated for its flowers, that are used as garlands and to produce aromatic oil.
