African tulip tree
Spathodea campanulata
Bignoniaceae

Tree that grows to 20 m high. The leaves are compound, to 45 cm long with 5 to 19 pairs of leaflets. The flowers are large, orange or scarlet red with yellow margins. The fruit is up to 20 cm long. A native of tropical Africa, now widely planted throughout the Philippines as ornamental.
