Kamachile
Large tree that grows to 20 m high, with branches armed with short and sharp spines. The leaves have 2 leaflets, 1 to 4 cm long. The flowers are white. The pods are twisted, to 15 cm long, with a whitish edible pulp. A native of Mexico that was introduced during the Spanish period. It is now widely planted throughout the country.
