Araucaria

Araucaria, Norfolk Island Pine
Araucaria heterophylla
Araucariaceae

A beautiful evergreen tree that can grow to a height of 15 m, with branches arranged in whorls around the main trunk. The leaves are small and needle-like. A native of Norfork Island in the South Pacific, it is widely planted in parks and gardens in the Philippines.

A few araucaria trees are planted in gardens here and there in Alabang Hills.
