Fiji fan palm

Fiji fan palm
Pritchardia pacifica
Palmae

Slow-growing, slender palm that grows to 9 m high, with a clean trunk. The leaves are palmate with stems up to 1 m long. The flowers are fragrants, and the fruits are small, shiny, blue-black when ripe. A native of Tonga in the South Pacific (not Fiji), it was recently introduced in the Philippines, and is occasionally planted in gardens, but not common.
