Anahaw, Common fan palm
Livistonia rotundifolia
Palmae

A solitary palm that grows to a height of 20 m, with a distinctly ringed smooth trunk. The leaves are crowded at the top with leaf blades measuring about 1 m in diameter. The flowers are small and the fruits are bright brick-red when ripe. It is native to Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The Philippine variety known as luzonensis is endemic and common in lowland forests.
