Golden shower

Medium-sized tree that grows to 10 m high and shed its leaves yearly. The leaves are compound with 3 to 8 pairs of leaflets. The flowers are bright yellow, fragrant, and hang in long drooping clusters. The pod is dark brown and up to 60 cm long. The seeds are poisonous. A native of the Indian Subcontinent from Pakistan to Burma, it was introduced in the Philippines as an ornamental and is widespread in the tropics.
